Integrated Residential EV ChargingLocation:
Vancouver, BCProject Overview
Brava Towers is a residential development in downtown Vancouver. As electric vehicle adoption increased, the property needed charging infrastructure that could support residents without disrupting the functionality or character of the building.
Radiance Energy designed and installed an EV charging solution tailored specifically for the residential environment, integrating the charging equipment into the building’s existing infrastructure and supporting ongoing administration through monitoring and billing software.
The Challenge
The property needed to respond to growing demand for electric vehicle charging while maintaining a reliable, convenient resident experience.
Unlike a simple charger installation, a multi-residential application also requires a practical way to manage access, track usage, and allocate charging costs. The solution therefore needed to work for both residents and building administrators while fitting within the existing property infrastructure.
The Solution
Radiance Energy implemented a tailored EV charging solution designed for residential use, installing reliable charging stations and integrating them into Brava Towers’ existing electrical infrastructure.
Advanced monitoring and billing software was incorporated to support usage tracking and transparent administration, helping residents access charging conveniently while giving building management greater visibility and control over the system. The EV charging solution included infrastructure integration, charging-station installation, usage monitoring, user authentication, billing, and payment management.
Project Results
- Residential EV charging infrastructure integrated into the existing building
- Reliable, user-friendly charging access for residents
- Usage monitoring and billing functionality
- Improved charging administration for building management
Making EV Charging Work in Multi-Residential Buildings
Residential EV charging is not only about installing hardware. In shared buildings, the larger challenge is creating a system that fits existing electrical infrastructure, supports multiple users, and gives management a practical way to oversee charging activity.
The Brava Towers project demonstrates how EV charging can be integrated into an established residential property while maintaining a straightforward experience for both residents and administrators.
